Hades collection
It was during the summer of 2022 that I was watching my husband while playing Hades. Well, although I’m a gamer, not all types of games attract me and make me want to play them, like Hades. I’m mostly an action adventure and RPG games player, and I couldn’t like the concept of Hades game, that you are trying so hard to get rid of your father by traveling floors/stories up until you get to the surface and each time you die (which is 100% of all the times except the time you actually win), it’s square one, with more humiliation words from your father - which are epic and funny by the way.
No, I couldn’t do that and I wasn't tempted at all; but wait a second there is something I really really like about this game and they are the reasons that I can’t stop watching when my husband plays it; the fantastic music, the epic characters with their humor, and yes the COLORS!
In the beginning of 2023 when I started the actual planning for the launch of my studio, I knew that for my hand dyed yarn I want to go with a very colorful palette for the first year of my releases at least. I’m an art & architecture graduate and there are already many inspirations in my mind for what I’m going to do, but my passion for games and their graphic designs are on the other hand and yelling in other part of my brain, begging me to do something as colorful as the colors I saw in the Hades game.
So, I decided that even if I won’t dye the whole yarn I planned to dye for 2023 with a Hades theme, I will do half of it at least.
And here it is! The results are gorgeous and breathtaking! They turned out so much more beautiful than I expected, because I’m a new dyer! Yes, they are my first ever dyes, and I couldn’t be much happier that I could do it!
What you see in the shop are 4 colorways: Athena, Asterius, Megaera and Hermes.
I have already tested some other colorways for this collection and they will also come to the shop soon. I think this collection will be continued even with more colorways in the future.
And now it’s time to design a pattern with all these yarns!
